Velocity Lapse brings together a clutter-free interface, manually adjustable camera settings, and project-based flexibility into one powerful time lapse app.
Since Velocity Lapse captures an image-based time lapse, not just a video, you have full control over every image and can re-export to a different quality and frame-rate from
the same project.
Two capture modes are available that you can choose from depending on your preference and the duration of the event you plan to capture.
Time Lapse Capture mode:
Capture frames at a set interval with optional frame limit, delay, and other features. This is the traditional way of capturing and is best for most time lapse projects like
clouds, sunrises/sunsets, etc.
Manual Capture mode:
Capture frames manually to create a time lapse of an event happening over an extended period of time, without leaving your device on location. This is best for capturing
events like construction projects that can last over days, weeks, months, or even years.
Main features:
• Capture resolution up to your device camera full sensor resolution
• Export to video at 4K, 1080p, 720p, or 480p quality (4K requires device support)
• Two powerful capture modes to choose from
• Front and back camera support
• Portrait and landscape capture support
• Toggle whether exposure and focus are locked during capture
• Toggle camera grid and capture information
• Back camera: Set manual ISO, shutter speed, focus, and zoom
• Front camera: Set camera EV (exposure value) and zoom
• Capture interval to change how often a frame is captured
• Optionally set duration to change how many frames to capture, or set to infinite to continue until you manually stop the capture
• Delay the capture up to 30 seconds before starting
• See the estimated final video duration and capture time before and after capture
• Apply a date/time stamp during the capture
• Import images from your gallery as a time lapse project that you can edit and export to video like a normal project
• Delete unwanted frames in the editor
• Preview a lower quality version of your time lapse at ~14fps with the editor playback feature
• Export to H.264 MP4 video or as JPG images
• Browse and watch your time lapse videos from the in-app video gallery
