Many projects exist in order to improve the accessibility of the deaf to communication, but there are few works that enable a sound experience. In this way, Vibra Som aims to
promote an experience of music and sounds for the deaf and hard of hearing.
The reason that drove the realization of the project was to understand that there is a need to improve digital technologies and accessibility projects aimed at the deaf and
hearing impaired in their relationship with sounds and music.
Accessibility, in turn, enables a better development of the disabled in their relationships, since it is the result of works that improve accessibility and reduce social
barriers common to disabled people. However, as much as in Brazil and in the world the projects presented for accessibility to the hearing impaired have obtained adequate
results in the processes of communication and language, the amount of works that enable a sound experience is scarce.
Thus, taking the experience of sounds and music to the deaf shows how it can directly impact the way these individuals engage with themselves and with society, since learning
music improves communication skills. Given that denying the sensory importance of the deaf can mean the aggravation of situations that can compromise their social relationships,
this sound-to-vibration application can improve accessibility for the hearing-impaired in their relationship with music, in addition to providing a playful experience .
